Have you ever heard a quote that touched so deep within you and taught you so much that felt a world of meanings were inside those words?
That’s why I love quotes.
Here are 3 of my favorite quotes that I think have powerful meanings inside…
“I would rather be a superb meteor, every atom of me in magnificent glow, than a sleepy and permanent planet. The proper function of a man is to live, not to exist.”
- Jack London
This is one of my absolute favorite quotes - kind of like my life motto actually.
You see how some people live every day like a boring routine without any big goal that gives them excitement, happiness and energy?
Well, I believe REAL life is when you have a great goal that you’re really passionate about… a goal that gives a clear direction to all aspects of your life…
A goal that makes you wake up early in the morning with excitement and go to bed late at night with enthusiasm for waking up the next morning…
Now that’s LIFE!
“The secret of getting ahead is getting started. The secret of getting started is breaking your complex overwhelming tasks into small manageable tasks, and then starting on the first one.”
- Mark Twain.
You see, sometimes we don’t get started to do something even though we know it is very important because we look at it as a HUGE task and feel overwhelmed about where to get started and how to do it all.
But here’s a great solution to that…
Simply break down your big task into tiny baby steps.
Actually try to create as many steps as you can. Then just look at the first step in front of you and you’ll say, “I can do this like a piece of cake!”
So you get started and quickly finish every step, which gives you a sense of accomplishment and motivates you even more.
After a short while, you suddenly see that you’ve reached the last step and that HUGE task has finished like a piece of cake.
That’s what I do all the time and the results are amazing! You might want to give it a try and see it for yourself.
“If you can imagine it, you can achieve it; if you can dream it, you can become it.”
- William Arthur Ward
This is so true. As a human being, your capabilities are UNLIMITED.
The only limit there is to what you reach in life is what’s on YOUR mind.
As a living example, let’s take a look the life of this 20-year-old girl from Iran (yours truly)…
Four years ago that she decided to start her own online business and had many big dreams, but had less than $50 in her bank account and no knowledge of business and marketing whatsoever.
So when she told about her dreams to people around her, they would either call her crazy or laugh at her.
But after only four years, she is making $7,000 per month (that’s what most 40-year-old people make in a YEAR in Iran).
So if this girl can do this, don’t you think it’s more than possible for you too?
So let’s imagine BIG and dream BIG.
Wish you a life full of big dreams! ![]()

I think this one is cool:
“Don’t ever let anyone tell you that something is too competitive. Once you subtract the people who don’t work very hard, or the people who aren’t as good as you, your competition shrinks dramatically.”

Hi all,
Quotes are really good. I know that most of the people know what is right for them and how they can really succeed and achieve their targets (theoretically) but when it comes to their practical implementation, very few of them are able to successfully complete them.
It’s a combination of several things but the main thing that really matters is that you should have the right direction and magnitude to achieve what you want to achieve. (Physics law that works in the real life too).
Hope that I never forget this law and always follow it sincerely.
All the best to all of you.
thanks once again for good quotes, tips and real life example.

The first quote you mentioned happens to be hanging on my desk right now…I wrote it down over 15 years ago (probably going on 20 now…and I’m only 38), moved several times and still have managed to keep it near to me at “work”.
Thanks for pointing this one out!

Hi Carrie,
The first quote has been one of my favorites for years too. It’s very motivating.

Uh, that is freaky…I knew in my mind wasn’t crazy for wanting to get into this little known world called “Internet Marketing”. I had to stop reading after I read in your post”…So when she told about her dreams to people around her, they would either call her crazy or laugh at her…”
Because, I get more and more people calling me that as they start to pick up the pieces on what I’m doing (It’s really secretive, and I want to keep it that way). Certain kinds of books I find compelling are the very same books that my friends laugh at.
I understand WHY they don’t understand…I just don’t understand why that is
The life of an Entrepreneur huh? I look forward to meeting you very soon Ladan, your’ a fantastic inspiration to me and many others.
Bye Bye
