Ladan Stranded in Dubai?

Fun Corner, Success Secrets

Yes, that’s right. On my way to Malaysia, our plane got caught high in the sky for 3 hours because of the fog and so I missed my transit flight to Malaysia that day.

So there I was all alone, in a new country I was not a bit familiar with… with no connections or information on where to stay…

Sounds terrible, doesn’t it?

Yes, but it’s amazing how you can turn everything all around by just changing your attitude…

When I first heard the news on the airport that I had to wait 24 hours for the next available flight to Malaysia, I admit I was a little scared…

I didn’t know what to do or where to go. “I don’t have a visa for Dubai… will I have to sleep in the airport??”… “Will I have to wander around in the streets of Dubai for one whole day??”… “What if…? ”

The first thought I got was to call my family so I’ll have someone to share my feelings with… but I knew it was NOT a good idea because they would just become deadly worried and will regret their decision of letting me travel alone.

So I made a firm decision: I was not only get the control of this unexpected situation, but I’ll also make the best of it so much that I’m happy it has happened!

And surprisingly, this is exactly what happened… 🙂

I talked to myself calming down first that I am a grown-up, capable person and can make everything right. I told myself, “I am NOT a 20 year old “kid” as people may see me, but I am a totally capable adult who have easily handled bigger situations worse than this! So I can do it!

To make a long story short, this being “stranded all alone” thing turned into me traveling to different parts of Dubai – trying the unique Arabian food, seeing people, learning more life lessons, having fun and shopping…

While I saw other passengers were complaining about bad luck and this and that… I was planning my fun trip throughout Dubai. 🙂

It was much fun and I am absolutely glad this “fog thing” happened and gave me the opportunity to visit yet another country and have more fun!

So never underestimate how many great opportunities a seemingly “unlucky” happening can bring you… if only YOU decide to change your attitude.

Best of luck to you!

Ladan

    Glad you two connected.

I hope you come to America.

We could use more good eggs like you 🙂

Meanwhile, why don’t you help us market CRAVE around the world to all the party goers, travelers, worker bees, and kewl people 🙂

They guzzle $70,000,000.00 US/ day of energy drinks over here. Now THAT’s a market share.
