One year… 12 months… How much can really happen in this time?
This week my parents were moving to their previous house and I was helping them in the packing and moving process.
They had moved to a temporary house for one year to do some major reconstructing in their old house - like painting, adding and removing some walls, and so many other changes.
Today was the last day of the moving process and they finally were settled here.
Right now that I’m writing these words for you, I’m in my old room in this house where I used to live one year ago.
But I’m not living here anymore because as you may remember, I have moved to my own apartment a couple of months ago - which is a totally unconventional act here in Iran by the way.
Well, today when I was walking in this room (the room I had spent all my childhood, teen years, and all my life until last year), I remembered how fast this one year had passed, and how many major changes have happened in my business and life…
I’m not talking only in terms of increase of income, but also increase of valuable experiences, connections with wonderful people, big plans for my business and life, and so much more.
You see, one year ago, I was still making a nice living on the Internet, but it wasn’t even close to what I’m making right now and my overall success in my business comparing to today, was like a tiny little star comparing to the shining sun in the day.
It was amazing to walk in the same room, see and touch the same walls, look out through the same window, but with so many great changes in my life.
But you know what?
This post is NOT about me… It’s about YOU!
You can see where you are right today, right now…
But the question is, where are you going to be 12 months from today?
Or let me ask it in a better way… “Where do you WANT to be 12 months from today?”
And here’s the amazing thing about it…
Whatever you want, you can achieve way more than that, because we always underestimate the time and potential we have to reach our goals.
If someone would ask me if I could get where I am right now one year ago, I would without a doubt say not at all and that I’d need at least 5 years. But what about now?
So let’s make a promise to yourself today…
Never, ever let go of your dreams and goals - even if you seem so far from success today.
Even if everybody around you keeps saying “You can’t do it.”
Even if the road to success gets all uphill sometimes…
Because you might be much closer to success than you’d ever think…
“Most people give up just when they’re about to achieve success. They quit on the one yard line. They give up at the last minute of the game, one foot from a winning touchdown.” - Ross Perot
Whatever your goal is, you CAN have reached it and many times over in just 12 months from now.
Just imagine it’s already one year later and you’re living your dream life. See it, feel it, and touch it. And believe that you can make it happen if you want to.
And no matter how people around you try to disappoint you and make you give up your dreams, remember that you have friend in another part of the world that deeply believes in you and knows that you can do it!
Wishing you much success beyond your dreams! ![]()

Ladan, thank you so much for this post! I have just recently quit my job to start working from home full time and I’m definitely having a time adjusting to having a full-time business from home AND making the most of the time I am working.
It is so inspiring to hear from someone who’s achieved real success, and to think about where I can (and will!) be in a year from now. I know one thing I would love to do is get out to some of the events that go on in internet marketing and meet some of the people I’ve grown to admire who make an income online.
Thanks again

Hi Suzie,
Yes, Simpleology 101 is really a powerful program that I think every person serious about achieving his/her goals should take because it helps you get results much faster and more easily.
As Mark says in the tagline of Simpleology, it’s really “the simple science of getting what you want.”
And the amazing thing about it that it’s totally free. That’s why I really respect Mark. He is not only a big marketing expert, but also a respectful person.
He is different from other “gurus” whose only goal is to make the most money. He is really after helping people succeed in their lives.
Anyway Suzie, wish you the best of luck with your 12-month goal!

Hi Ladan
,
My wife and I will be moving on the 30th of June to our new home. This is the second time we will be moving since we arrived in the UK from India two years ago. In India we moved about six times after our marriage. Over the years, I have noticed that every new home has brought with it new opportunities, this is true in my life, as well as my parents.Every home helps us to move, one step closer to fulfilling our life and destiny. All the best.
