So finally I could get some time to work on all the pictures I had taken from my recent trip in Malaysia. So to share with you some parts of this fun, wonderful trip, I’m putting some of the photos here for you…
(You can click on each photo to see a bigger version of it.)
Phew! It all started by a loooooong 9-hour flight… but I was so happy that I had gotten a window seat so I could enjoy the lovely views like beautiful clouds and some nice rainbows on the way.
After arriving in Kuala Lumpur, the first real place that I attended was my good friends, Khai and Yuenn’s wedding…
It was the second Chinese wedding that I was attending but it was the very first time that I was a bridesmaid and also personally witnessed the fun part of the wedding: the groom punishment part. (If you’re familiar with Chinese weddings, know what I’m talking about
)
Another picture of the wedding and how people are saying the Chinese version of “Cheers!” for the bride and groom.
I am teaching Edmund how to write his name in Persian here - and he learned it very quickly. It was fun to see how different it looked to him to see the Persian language.
Another fun party I attended early in my trip was Edmund Loh’s birthday. They took us all to a karaoke party where everyone was singing his heart out…
And that is Khai singing a song with soooooooo much passion!
It was my first time going there and it was a very interesting experience to see how some Internet marketing experts and friends kind of were transformed with the music.
From the expression on my face, I think the song playing is one of those “noisy” songs that I really didn’t like - I’m probably trying to figure out how other guys are enjoying it.
… And the “other guys” here include Edmund and Gobala who seem to be really excited about the music.
OK, but you know what? The two above fun events were just the beginning of all the places that I could visit during mt trip in Malaysia - thanks to 3 wonderful friends that helped me get around over there (You know who you are yourself
)
Me in front of the KL Twin Towers…
Full picture of the Twin Towers - this time without Ladan in front.
Me and my special “tour guide”, Edmund Loh, with a cowboy man - in the Sunway Lagoon Theme Park.
A gorgeous, peaceful place at the Sunway Lagoon Theme Park… I still can’t believe they call it the Lake of Monsters.
Again me, at the Sunway Lagoon Theme Park.
==> By the way, Special Thanks to Edmund for taking me to all these beautiful, fun places. He was certainly the most amazing tour guide you could ask for. (thank you Edmund!)
Ice skating! I first saw this in the Sunway Pyramid shopping mall and I decided to give it a try. I used to do roller blading a few years ago and now it was time to try a slightly new way.
As it had been mentioned to me, I found ice skating much easier than roller blading. So if you already know roller blading, it’s possibly time to give this one a try as it’s much fun!
One thing I loved about this time of year in Malaysia was that you could see and feel the joy of Christmas everywhere. People had put all types of creative and beautiful decorations everywhere - especially in shopping malls.
Sunway Pyramid shopping mall - where I used to hang out every day (for Internet at Starbucks and *shopping* - just ask Khai and Yuenn and they’ll tell you about my shopping adventures.
)
Speaking of Starbucks, I guess they have made a fortune from all the “blended ice coffees and sugar donuts” I used to buy every day there for breakfast - to use the Internet access there…
OK, there you have it! Hope you enjoyed seeing these pictures.
Like always, I look forward to hearing what you think in the comments section below.
Have a splendid day!
Ladan
P.S. Stay tuned because there is some great, surprising news coming in the next couple of days here… ![]()

Hey Ladan,
I’m starting to get the feeling that my ‘Linkin Park singing’ picture is getting published all over the Internet.
Hehe… now that’s what I call Viral Marketing

Hi Khai,
Yes, it’s because it is so funny.
It also kind of shows what that night was all about.
Maybe you can use that in your marketing somehow. Or maybe as a part of the comic story on Edmund’s website.

Hi Ladan
Thanks for sharing these pictures with me, looks like
you are having a lot of fun…
You are blessed, to be able to do such things, especially in the days of your youth…
I think you do appreciate your good life and the
people you draw to you because of your personality
and just being yourself…keep in touch, and keep busy doing what you love to do…. and along the way
go out of you way to open a door for an elderly person…and you will get a silent blessing ten fold and more. take care
Best Regards
Larry

Khai,
That’s for posting my ‘not so cool’ photos on your blog.
And I have a couple more shots of Khai screaming at the top of his lungs.

Hi Larry,
Thanks for your kind words.
Yes, I agree with you and do believe that elderly people are worthy of lots of respect…
Not just people they are “older”, as some people say…
But because they have lived a valuable life - they’ve been through lots of ups and downs, different challenges and they have developed a deep personality because of that.
Also they are like a treasure of valuable life lessons and insights that we younger people don’t have and can always learn from.
So it’s an honor to have YOU reading my blog, Larry.
Best regards coming your way…

Hi Ladan,
I have been following some of your emails and other tips, and your insight is most appreciated. I enjoyed seeing these pictures, and you are in wonderful company with Edmund and Khai. Two other “younger” internet people I follow. I am learning some new things in my midlife, and hope to be able to help others the way you and your friends are! You have blessed me and my family without realizing it yet. Thanks for the fun peek into some of your ventures here!
Best wishes,

Paul

Paul,
Thank you very much! Your kind words made my day.
It’s an honor for me to be able to make a positive difference in someone’s life - even if it is a small difference like bringing a smile to your face.
Gary,
Thank you!
Kingsley,
Yes, I know what you mean. It seems like a while ago (actually 3 years) that I was working so hard on my business but without much results.
But the key is always sticking and keeping yourself motivated until you catch Success in your hands.
After all, no matter how stubborn Success may be, it can never escape from a motivated person who just won’t ever give up! Right?

Prashant,
Yeah, I get that all the time.
Good that you know it now.
Majid,
Yes, Malaysia and Singapore are really wonderful. Even though at first I wasn’t used to the heat there, but now I’ve learned to appreciate it.
