Remember last month I told you about my plan to leave Iran for another country in just 1-2 months?
But I didn’t tell you which country it was and asked you to guess yourself.
Well, it’s official now and you’re going to discover all about it here!
I am moving to this place…

Yes, the mystery country is Malaysia!

After doing lots of research and learning more about this country, people, lifestyle, weather, and so many other information since May 2007 (this year), and after going there personally and seeing everything from close, I decided Malaysia is a fabulous country to live for the time being.
Although as I told you before, my plan is to stay in Malaysia only for about 4-6 months until I move to Vancouver, Canada to stay permanently.
But I may like Malaysia so much that I may decide to stay longer, who knows?
The reason I didn’t reveal it to you at first which country I was moving to, was because I wanted to make sure for 100% - because I never announce something in advance unless I am totally sure about it.
During my recent trip to Malaysia, I have even gotten an apartment in Petaling Jaya, near Kuala Lumpur.
I’ll be moving there before Christmas this month.
After years of having this as a major goal to move to a new country where I can more easily pursue my biggest goals in life, now it is finally here and happening! So you can imagine how excited I am.
So when looking back on all the steps it took and the challenges in each of them, I proudly and happily say it’s been well worth it!
Also thank you for your kind supporting words and warm wishes! Trust me, it’s been an amazing experience to get to know so many wonderful people from all around the world.
That’s just ONE reason why I always say this Internet business thing is awesome.
So as always, warm greetings and best wishes coming your way *still* from the sunny Tehran…

Congratulations Ladan…Can appreciate the idea of going to another country to meet one’s ‘destiny’ so to speak. Malaysia will probably be a nice change for awhile but I am sure that you shall enjoy living in my native Canada.

I’m happy to hear that you’re moving from Iran to Maylasia! The warm climate will surely treat you well and you can store warmth for frigid Vancouver.
Your opportunities should increase and you ought to do well wherever you go.
Do well, and enjoy!
December 20th, 2007 at 10:05 am
All the best in Your new home. Enjoy yourself.

Cherilyn,
Thank you! Yes, BC is amazing.
Ann,
Thank you very much!
Melanie,
Sure, would be great. Thanks!
Behzad,
Mamnoon (”thanks” in Persian)
Ruth,
So you’re from Canada? That’s nice.
Yes, Canada is a truly wonderful place to live. Yes, it is quite cold - as someone complain, but there are so many other great things about the culture, people, lifestyle, and much more that makes it well worth to deal with the cold.
Tom,
Thank you very much.
Yes, the climates of Malaysia and Canada are totally opposite.
But both are great places to live - in their own unique way.
Marvin,
Thank you!

Ladan, that’s great news - what a Christmas surprise. Thank you so much for always keeping us up to date on things. Really appreciate it.
I’m sure Malaysia is a great place to live and I wish you the best. Vancouver is also truly beautiful and NOT as cold or snowy as Toronto where I live at the moment. I’m sure you’ll really enjoy both places.
Take care

That’s great, Ladan. What a wonderful journey from where you started. I’m sure you’ll adore Malaysia. It’s a nice country. I’ve been to Kuala Lampur some years ago and I quickly recognised your “new place” by the Petronas Towers in the pic.
Good luck and best wishes.

Hi Ladan, its nice to know you are moving to a good place to live.I think its the best thing you can do to see if its good to live in Malaysia.I by myself love Canada and would really like to live there, but you have to feel by yourself how things are going for you.
I wish you a great success in all you do.
Kind Regards, Verena!

My very best wishes for you in your new environs!
Merry Christmas!

Congrats on your choice of malaysia.
Its a nice place conservative yet modern.
But Canada is a much better choice and
it ranks high for standard of living and
freedom of expression IMHO.

Congratulations, Ladan.
What a great Christmas present. I’ve heard
both Malaysia and Vancouver are beautiful
with beautiful people as well.
Here’s wishing you peace and happiness
through out this joyous season.

Ladan
and disappointed that you did not censor some of the inappropriate remarks that Majid Jalayeri put in their comments. It seems to me that remarks about the whole Chinese male population’s sexuality are completely inappropriate in any public venue. The same thing goes for all of their other blanket statements. Only have one thing to say to Majid …Think Before you Speak my friend.
I am sort of shocked
December 21st, 2007 at 8:33 am
Ruth,
I just saw Majid’s comment a minute ago. It was automatically approved by Wordpress before I could see it. I removed it now.
Yes, some parts of it was shocking - especially about the homosexual claim. It was a too general statement which is simply not true.
Thanks for pointing it out Ruth.

Sandra,
Thank you.
Yes, Vancouver is less colder than Toronto which is good, because even though I generally like cold weather, but having a milder climate is more convenient for life, because you can more easily spend time outdoors.
Hi Alfa King,
Yes, KL is a lovely place - with lovely people.
Yep, you’re right, Petronas Twin Towers are somehow the “sign” of Malaysia known around the world.
Robert,
Thank you. Yes, would love to.
Bryan,
Thank you!

Verena,
Yes, you’re right. Everyone has his/her own personal set of things to look for in a place to live, and priorities as well.
So you need to compare different places with your own unique “requirements” and decide based on that.
Paul,
Thank you. Merry Christmas to you too.
Primuskannan,
Yes, Malaysia is a nice place - so is Canada.
Lois,
Thank you!
With special Holiday wishes for you and your loved ones.

Congratulations Ladan on your moving arrangements. Glad to have you in the free world. One serious suggestion I would like to make is that you make sure your domicile is 300- to 400 feet above sea level in both Petaling Jaya as well as Vancouver, so that you will be safe from the coming earth changes which are forecast within the next four years. I can provide you more information if you would be interested. Best wishes. . .Jim . .

Hi Ladan …
Hope to see you around the KLCC area sometime.
I’m out of town right now, but you can email me if you’re already in KL. We could go to Starbucks in KLCC …
huhu … your uncle’s in Vancouver right? You’d be near family there but it’s great you’re in Malaysia!
Lyna.
December 22nd, 2007 at 7:15 am
Hi Lyna,
How nice to hear from you.
Yes, it would definitely be lovely to meet you again sometime. So you live in KLCC - not PJ like many other friends.
I’ll arrive it Malaysia tomorrow, so then we can arrange a time to meet.
Actually my uncle was in Germany. I don’t have any relatives in Canada though, but some special friends and many times friends are more closer than relatives.

Jim,
Thank you very much for your advice.
My apartment is on a hill with lots of houses below it, so I think it’s more than enough above the sea.
Thanks!
