Fun Corner

So here we are at the end of 2007… and the beginning of 2008 is getting closer and closer.

So whichever part of the world you’re currently at, my best and sincerest wishes is coming your way! 🙂

Also here’s my belated Merry Christmas greetings, because I had just come to Malaysia and was without Internet access for a few days. So Merry Christmas!

At the end of every year, I always ask myself how my past year has been and whether I have accomplished all the goals I had set for it.

Usually… it’s been all done and then some! 🙂

So what about you?

What is YOUR special plan to analyze every day that passes to really make the most of your life by learning valuable experiences?

How many of your goals have YOU accomplished this year?

Happy Holidays! 😀

    Hi Ladan,

And a Great Big “Merry Christmas” to you.

I found out two years ago I have Chronic Cervical Spondylosis, which means I cannot work and have to try and do something from home.

For two years I have been studying Internet Marketing so for 2008 I hope to actually get started and earn an income. Should be fun!

All my best wishes and every success to you for 2008 and all of the years to come.

    God Bless

    Hi Ladan,

Thanks for the nice wishes. I also wish you all the best and a succesfull 2008 in your “new” country.

We also moved into a new country, 3 years ago. It is always good to change.

My plan: more focus, working each day at my goals and sub-goals, working in blocks of 2 hours.

In 2008 I promise myself to do new things, to broaden my horizon.

During 2008 I must certainly finish the following projects:
    – building at least 10 Adsense websites
    – finishing my website that offers “affiliates” a very interesting SEO service, that they can offer under there own brand name!
    – developing unique niche products that the market wants
    – setting up online courses with great value

    Enjoy the Holidays,
    Guy

Thanks for the wishes which I reciprocate. Hope you’ve now settled down on Malaysia.
Well, to be frank 2007 has been a bad year on the economic side. Otherwise I’m happy to have been able to set up a blog and get to writing, which was in my mind for so long. It’s been inspiring to read your posts. I hope reactivate my french blog “Le Journal d’Alfa King”.
    Best of luck for 2008.

    Hi Ladan

Your blog entry comes as a timely manner as i am in the process of reviewing the year and planning for 2008.

This year opened my eyes to internet marketing–I had worked in private consultancy and was looking for something I can leverage my time with….BINGO!

So it has been a year of learning and stumbling through challenges and enjoyinh my small successes along the way..

That is why I am intrigued by your story..I was wonderig how you got started with internet marketing, how you built your following..and you appear to communicate in english better than myself (‘m from Australia–that may explain it).

It’s with excitement trepidation as i approach 2008 as I am planning a new business enterpirise (online)that will have an huge impact on my life..

All the best to you Ladan & look forward to sharing our successesn in 2008.

    Kind Regards
    George

    Hello Ladan
Thank you, My wish for you is happiness, peace, and success.

This year I moved out of my art business, to a new state in th U.S., New Mexico, and am starting something completely new in 2008, an organic farm and horse ranch. It is a big stretch but doable.

I admire you and you are an inspiration to me, keep up the good work.

    Respectfully

    Best New Year Wishes

    Dear Ladan,

You were in Malaysia. I didn’t see you. And I’m living
in Malaysia. I am that bloody foreigner everybody is
    talking about.

No internet? How is that possible? There are many
Internet cafe’s. And I have Internet at home. 24 hours
    a day.

You were talking about New Year wishes. I guess I have
them. Although. They are not specifically New Year
wishes. Let’s say they are all year wishes.

This is what I want to do:

    – Make more money with my business

I’ve got a CAD business. I’m selling IntelliCAD.
That is a far less expensive alternative for
    AutoCAD.

But business is slow. I don’t know why. What can I
do to get more prospects and to get more customers?
    What is the trick?

    – Become a minister in Malaysia

That is a little complicated. I’m a foreigner living
in Malaysia. I’m not sure. But I am afraid
    foreigners cannot become minister.

Still. Malaysia is a third world country. And there
is a lot that can be done here. No body is doing
anything. They like what is going on.

    – Going to Holland

I’m from Holland. I haven’t been in Holland for
seven years now. Since I married. That is too long.
I need to go to Holland.

Problem. My wife. My wife doesn’t want me to go to
Holland on my own. But I do not want to drag her
along as I am in Holland.

But that is my problem. I don’t have the faintest idea
of how I can accomplish what I want to do. Do you have
any ideas? I would like to know.

  9. Rajesh Mago Says:

    Hi Ladan and friends,

Hope that you all had a wonderful 2007!

These last two days of ending 2007 are a great time for me to think and analyze what I’ve missed and achieved in these years

of my life specially 2007. What went wrong and how can I improve to be more Successful! Is merely a change of one digit from 2007 to 2008 going to do much!, No!, unless I really realize what are my true goals and How can I be more focused and targeted to achieve them.

There is no doubt that I have progressed and achieved some amount of personal and business growth in all these years but there is still lot to be done. I have made a lot of resolutions in these so many years but am not able to completely comply them. The reasons are common and known to most of us: Getting idle and lazy in between, off track (seeing youtube and other
videos and TV etc. for time pass) and not tracking and updating my targets and results everyday etc.

For coming 2008, thinking in broader terms, I have planned to comply and meet these agendas more strictly as compared to the previous years. Well some of them are new :)-

    – Reduce Information Overload.

    – Improve my thought process, perception, perspective and thus my personal growth. I read somewhere that if one doesn’t grow personally, their’s business also doesn’t grow and I am testing it and finding it true.

    – Reduce too much reading and planning that delays action. It’s rather better to start somewhere and then start improving rather than delaying things in becoming completely perfect that can never happen.

    – Working entirely for myself by having my own sites, blogs and products instead of working for people for the assignments that pays only once.

    – Be more professional in looking at all the things from the business angle and not emotionally.

    – More strictness in keeping and following the personal and business growth targets in my diary.

    – Do some more amount of contribution to my society in some or other way.

My heartiest Wishes to all of you for a more Successful 2008!

    Cheers!

    Yours friend,

    Rajesh

Malaysian food? Yeah. Nasi Lemak, Nasi Lemak, and Nasi Lemak. All great food.

  20. Ladan Lashkari Says:

    Dear Yuenn,

Thanks for dropping by my blog. Good to see you here. 🙂

As for Malaysian food, I’m sure they are wonderful – just different from the tastes I’m used to.

Also how can I order the right food in restaurants where the menu is all in Malay – like the mamak we went to recently? 🙂

By the way, eating the food is another “challenge”. Just ask Edmund the funny story of me trying to eat noodles with a fork and knife! 😀

So I guess McDonalds is an OK option for me sometimes – not every day though as I am doing some cooking myself.

    Hey Edmund,

Hmmmm, so if McDonalds is so great, why aren’t you even getting close to any burgers for the recent 7 days and continuing? 😉

    Indra,

Thanks for your suggestion. On a thought though, Edmund is not “big”, as he exercises very well. 🙂
