When I first started this current blog, LadanLashkari.com, it was supposed to be about Internet marketing and online business, not a personal blog.

But over time, I couldn’t help but to notice that personal posts about motivation and success have been the most popular posts here, not the business-related ones.

So since the topic of success, self improvement, and motivation seems to be the favorite for most of our readers here, and also because I happen to be very passionate about writing in this area, I have started a new blog for you dedicated to this topic.

Some of the best moments in Life…

To fall in love.

To laugh until it hurts your stomach.

Have you noticed how your motivation and excitement for work falls down after a few hours, comparing to when you first get to your computer?

Well, it is because of this reason…

We are sometimes unfair to ourselves!

Yes, that’s right. We push ourselves and push ourselves to "get more things done", without giving our mind any reward for it.

It is like when you were a kid, your parents kept pushing you to study and get great scores at school, and when you did your very best and after sleepless nights accomplished that, they just say to you…

"OK, good. So now start right away for your next exam… Also don’t forget to get great scores for it too. Also there is your other exam after that. No, no, no time for rest or playing. Get right back to study!"

Hmmm, how would you feel then?

Honestly wouldn’t you get upset and lose your motivation to keep studying and getting good grades?

Now what if your parents took the total opposite approach and told you…

"Hey wow! That was great! You are so clever. Thanks for studying so hard. So as a reward, we are taking you to a cinema to see your favorite show. Then we’ll also get you that brand new video game that you were so excited about!"

"Oh and by the way, if you get good grades next time, we’re going to give you more fun surprises! :)"

Now this time, how more motivated would you get for studying more next time?

You see how it makes wonders by simply giving yourself a reward after working hard?

So why not apply the same techniques in our business too?

I’ve been personally trying this technique for a few months and the results have been more than amazing.

I simply follow this formula…

3 Hours Work, 1 Hour Fun!

So for every 3 hours I work hard, I then have at least 1 hour or more fun time - like listening to my favorite music, resting on my bed and reading my favorite book, singing, playing around, dancing, going for a fun walk outside, watching a fun movie, and so much more activities.

… And I keep remembering that this is *because* of my great, productive work in the past 3 hours.

The idea here is to give some fun reward regularly to yourself so you recharge your batteries and get back to work with double energy.

I’ve seen some people trying to force themselves to work loooong hours in front on the computer, thinking they are actually being "productive ".

But the truth is after a few hours their mind gets tired and keeps for sneaky "excuses" to get distracted - like opening a chat window with a friend, getting casual thoughts, getting up to get something to eat, or simply working half slower.

But if they had actually spent 1 hour having fun totally away from work and their computer, they would come back with fully charged batteries and be razor-sharp productive.

Why not try it for yourself and see the results? You don’t have anything to lose and a great productivity secret to gain!

As much I loved to take some time to still keep writing for you here, because I always enjoy sharing anything I know with you and also hearing your comments…

But the truth is I was very busy with some personal matters and also some other business projects.

As for the personal matters, yes, we all do have a personal life - even us Internet marketers.

After all, money isn’t everything .

"Yeah, right! "

Well, I agree with a part of how you feel. Because there are two types of people who say this exact thing…

• Those who are broke and say it just as a lame excuse to defend why they are not successful

And…

• Those who are rich and have already tasted how it’s like to have lots of money, but have seen how money can’t buy everything. So they have reached a higher place that they see beyond just "money, money, and more money"

So OK, I am certainly not broke so I consider myself in the second group.

So as we were saying, one of the reasons I was away from blogging for a while was giving more attention and priority to my personal life… and to people I care about.

But another thing keeping me busy this past 2 months, was getting into a new Internet marketing "hobby":

Niche marketing.

I was never a hard-core niche marketer. Most of my business was focused on targeting the Internet marketing niche. That was my passion and something I felt I was great at.

But recently, for the fun of the marketing experiment and to get the thrill of the challenge of trying a brand new road, I got into niche marketing…

And after 2 months, let me tell you that I love it.

It is not only very profitable, but also it is so much fun to get into so many various niches and conquer them, and at the same time grow your knowledge in so many different topics.

For example now I know many things about dog allergies, hair care, loans, makeup secrets, interior design and so much more, just because of building some sites about them.

So if you are the type of person who enjoys new experiences and loves growing your knowledge on various fields, niche marketing will be so much fun for you.

• Mark Joyner

Mark is one of the people I highly respect - not because some folks see him as a famous “Guru” or not because I look forward to the opportunity to do a JV with him (Knowing me, I trust you that Mark, right? :))

I highly respect Mark because he is one of the rare people who is “multi-dimension“…

What does it mean?

I have this philosophy that most people - yes, even multi-millionaires and gurus - are 1D people (1 dimension)… meaning they just excel in one area of life.

For example you see them making millions, but they might be selfish and not care about helping others… or they have weak personalities and no visions in life.

Well, Mark is one of the rare exceptions who is not only a marketing genius, politics expert, time management master, but also a wonderful person with amazing visions… and a great heart.

He also is a very loyal friend. I don’t go into details here but there have been times when he was concerned and offering so much help, even though I knew he had a very busy life and business to run.

Mark, thanks for everything you taught me about marketing, politics, and life…

• Khai

What can I say about Khai?

I’d say he is an amazing writer, so skilled and so dedicated to his work that I have yet to see among many writers I’ve seen.

But there is something I even admire more in Khai… and that is being the most super-loyal friend.

Honestly, Khai is one of the most loyal friends I’ve ever seen - and not just to me, but also I’ve seen how he is more than willing to help his other friends in tough times.

When they are in some kind of trouble, he goes to amazing length to help them - so much that few other people would “bother” to do. We sure are lucky to have a friend like him.

Khai, thank you for being such a wonderful friend. You helped me learn a lot about the big value of true friendship, something you always emphasize a lot.

Now I can say, I wouldn’t exchange a friend like you with a million-dollar JV partner.

• Yuenn

My best lady friend in Malaysia… and one of the kindest people I had the privilege to know in Malaysia.

Yuenn, thanks for being so hospitable to me during the first days of my arrival in Malaysia when I barely knew anybody.

When Khai first told me he was getting married and invited me to your wedding, I had no idea I was going to get to know such a wonderful friend.

After all, you know how it is good to have a wonderful female friend to have some lady talk and fun sometimes - not being with “business-talking” guys all the time!

• Edmund Loh

First a serious JV partner, then a great “tour guide“, later a special friend, and then a life-saver. Who would guess so many changes?

I admire Edmund for being very dedicated when it comes to business. And I mean VERY dedicated (Isn’t that right, Edmund? )

He is one of those people who you’d like to do a partnership with because you can 100% trust him on being responsible, committed, and punctual.

But there is much more to Edmund than being a fantastic entrepreneur…

Being a loyal friend is another side of him to admire. When I was very sick a couple of weeks ago and was alone in KL because all other friend had left the town for Chinese New Year holiday, he helped me in a way I’ll never forget…

Does the fact that he drove all the way from JB (another state in Malaysia 8 hours from here, where he lives) at midnight in the middle of Chinese New Year, show enough proof what a loyal friend he is?

Certainly there is more to Edmund Loh than being an “Internet Marketing Expert” or the “Prince of PLR”.

Edmund, I hope you achieve all your big goals this year - both the business goals and the others. Thanks for everything! (and you know what I mean by “everything”)
